George Marengo (gMoney)

They call me gMoney but my name is George Marengo and I’m a brother to everyone I meet. I was raised in the Bronx where I learned my survival skills until I left for Long Beach, CA when I was 16. Lived there for 5 years where I learned social life was a huge contrast to NYC. Mainly everyone living in CA seemed more chill, open-minded and less defensive. It was a good influence on me to see other ways of living especially since I was on my own without parental supervision. I completed Community College then came back to NYC in 1984 where I worked as a residential/commercial painter and then ran my own painting company for 4 years. Next I became a Cable TV installer and then a surveyor/designer for building/multi-dwelling cable TV system installations for 3 years, then embarked on a spiritual journey that lead me to Kauai, HI working for a time with the Hawaii Department of Health as a ADHD counselor to children and even became a foster parent to a troubled teen all in 2 years. I returned to NYC in 1996, taught myself to use a Gateway 2000 computer and code HTML for webpage creation which culminated into becoming the Director of Multimedia Marketing (on the creative side) for 2 internet firms for 4 years. Lastly, I’ve been running my own moving company for the last 22 years. Add in a few marriages along the way and now I’ve been married to my incredible wife, Cecilia for over 17 years and have 4 lovely grandchildren.

I’m part of the HK family because I love riding motorcycles for the feeling of freedom it inspires and the brotherhood it creates. But also, and most importantly, to be involved with our community to help fill a lack or need for those brothers and sisters who are less fortunate then the rest of us. That's why I chose to be the Ambassador of Goodwill where I help Hustle Kingz coordinate the charitable events we create for causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Autism Awareness, Backpack/School Supplies giveaway for middle school children, Coney Island Halloween Festival for children to trick or treat safely, feeding our EMS workers when COVID was at it’s peak and feeding the poor in our communities more regularly. Lastly, I am my brothers’ keeper and honor them as children of God as He created them. And the way to do this is through service to those who temporarily have less because giving IS receiving and that exchange is the LOVE of GOD.
